THE LIONS CLUB of Barbados South and the Christ Church 4-H movement teamed up yesterday to mark UN Youth Day with a clean-up of Worthing Beach, Christ Church. President of the Lions Club South, Corlis Weekes-Grazette, said it was part of the club’s mission to work with youth. “This is our first time working together. We wanted to embrace the youth and involve them in wholesome activities,” she said. The club was also looking at distributing trash bins, as well as planting seedlings to grow small gardens. Chairman of the Lion’s Club South’s youth and education committee, Sylvester Cutting, said agriculture was too important not to involve children.
