Induku impression

It’s their first time in Barbados and they have already made an impression.Induku Colts, a team from South Africa making their debut appearance in the Banks International Hockey Festival, were adjudged the best team on parade during the opening ceremony at the Wildey Astro Turf yesterday.The colurful outfit also came armed with vuvezelas that were popular during the recent football World Cup in South Africa.For their creativity, the Colts won two cases of products from the festival’s sponsors.The opening ceremony also featured a number of awards being presented to several outstanding stalwarts who have contributed to the development of the festival. Among them were Barbados Hockey Federation president George Bennett, Tony Cozier, Colonel Deighton Maynard, Winsmore Humphrey and Marlene Jones.
