Two brave employees of the Geriatric Hospital had no intention of letting a would-be robber take their purses last Monday.Public relations officer of the Royal Barbados Police Force, Inspector David Welch, revealed that just after 6 a.m., the two women were assaulted at the Beckles Road, St Michael facility by an unknown man, who attempted to snatch their handbags.But the women refused, engaging in a struggle and never letting go of their property. The man eventually ran off.According to Welch, both women gave police a description of the man, and investigations are continuing. (BA)
