CAMARIE BOYCE is wreaking havoc on his first tour of St Kitts. The debutant leg-spinner just missed out on his second five-wicket haul in as many games to lead defending champs Barbados to a ten-wicket victory over the hosts in yesterday’s action of the St Kitts 13-and-Under Festival at Warner Park.Boyce, the youngest member of the 16-man squad, ran through St Kitts’ top order by taking four for 18 in five overs, as the hosts buckled for a meagre 78 in 23.4 overs after winning the toss. And the diminutive ten-year-old was unfortunate not to have bagged another, with Nicholas Kirton spilling a catch off his bowling at short midwicket. It would’ve been his second successive five-wicket haul, following Sunday’s five-for-seven performance against Antigua and Barbuda, who made only 72.In dangerWere it not for Cameron Pennyfeather (26) and Kioame Challenger (17), the hosts were in danger of falling short of Antigua’s total.Bowling for the first time in the tournament, Sachin Clarke captured three for 17 in four overs, while vice-captain Deswin Currency and Kion Harding added a wicket apiece in surrendering just 24 runs between them.Captain Lee Gaskin then responded with an unbeaten 56, finishing the game with a lusty six over midwicket, as the Bajan lads cruised to 83 without loss despite starting their innings cautiously. Gaskin’s opening partner Leniko Boucher finished with 20 not out.The unbeaten Bajans are set to play their third game today against Anguilla at Conarie.
