BRILLIANT sunshine finally allowed the competitors in the 1:8 off-road modified class to return to their regular rugged surface and thrilled the crowd on hand who came out for the fourth day of the third season of the Frutee-sponsored Radio Operated Auto Racers championships.
Ryan “Daisy” Hill, controlling his Team Xray XB 808, recorded his first win for the season, after an intense battle with Scott Foster in his Plastic Repair Centre/Wildlife Reserve-sponsored Hot
Bodies D8 and Matthew “Left Ball” Whitney in his Whitney’s Trucking/Wadman Brothers-sponsored Mugen MBX 6.5.
Foster, however, got the better of Whitney for second position.
Foster returned in the second race to make wrong things right and blew away his competition by lapping the entire field.
The battle for second position was an intense one between Whitney and Hill, but Whitney managed to force Hill to settle for third. (PR)
