The smile of little Doniya Codrington is the only thing giving grandmother Shirley Linton some joy and happiness amidst the bad memories.
Linton is the mother of the late Cassandra Codrington, who died in the August 26, 2007 cave-in at Arch Cot Terrace, Brittons X Road, St Michael, along with her husband Donavere and their three children.
During an interview with the WEEKEND NATION yesterday, which marked the tragedy’s third anniversary, Linton said she was having a “heavy heart” because “I feel the Government forget everything ’bout what happen in Brittons Hill in 2007”. Doniya, who is the couple’s sole surviving child, was three months old at the time of the tragedy. (AH)
