I CONFESS – Talk your problems through

I don’t think that people should create problems for each other.Let me say that a lot of people have similar problems. When I look at friendships between casual friends – boys and girls, men and women, husband and wife – it is mostly a lot of misunderstanding.When I look at people who have domestic problems, many of them based their lives on the soap-opera culture. Lots of family members get involved and end up by giving relatives bad advice.There are a lot of relationships that can still be saved. When one person becomes violent, there has got to be a way out. Anger does not happen overnight, especially when the people involved are Christians. In most situations the man may not want to talk to the pastor or the priest because of his manhood. He may be stubborn and shy. He might have also been rejected in his early childhood. This may be his way of lashing out. I believe that these situations can be fixed. A number of these situations are really the result of old “baggage” from past relationships. Some women seem to be stronger and some seem able to respond better. Some women are strong enough to separate from their partners, while leaning on the first man that comes along. I believe that church leaders should aggressively go after their members, along with any member of the society or community in which they belong or serve. A whole lot of relationships could really be saved by doing this. Come cleanThe thing to do is to get each partner to come clean in order to get rid of the anger and frustration. No husband and wife should be separated or be allowed to live as though separated. No husband or wife should be told or encouraged by any family members to separate from the spouse.Divorce or separation should be a last resort, especially if they are Christians. Where is Christ in a Christian marriage?A lot of marriages have been entered into without counsel.As long as any counsellor has identified that there is a problem in a relationship, the couple should be counselled by a pastor, priest, bishop or reverend or any church leader. Problems come about because of third parties.I must be bold in writing this as a Christian. The Devil does not specify any person. He jumps right in, whether a relationship is going good or bad. If it is bad, he will make it worse and if it is good, he will try his best to destroy it. He will do all of this without even showing up in person. The Devil will use mother, sister, brother or a close friend – whoever is willing or makes themselves available.
