ST JOHN’S, Antigua – West Indies are likely to have their fourth team manager in the last three years, when they depart for a tour of Sri Lanka later this year.
The West Indies Cricket Board has started a recruitment drive to find a new team manager to replace incumbent, Joel Garner.
According to the WICB, Garner, the West Indies fast bowling legend, has filled the position for an interim period, which ended following the home series against South Africa.
“The team manager is responsible for managing the operational and logistical requirements of the West Indies team and managing the efficient execution of the team’s activities and contractual commitments to a consistently high standard,” a media release from the WICB said.
“The WICB is seeking a confident and credible professional who is a forward thinking, hands-on all -rounder with a focused and flexible approach to handling assignments and a capacity to build relationships at all levels.”
The successful candidate will report to head coach Ottis Gibson on tour, and the Director of Cricket, Tony Howard. (CMC)
