Another dengue death

Barbados has recorded its second death from dengue haemorrhagic fever.
According to officials of the Ministry of Health, the death of the young adult male occurred last Wednesday at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and was confirmed by laboratory testing yesterday.
Barbados has recorded 147 confirmed cases of dengue fever so far this year.
The Ministry of Health is once again urging Barbadians to heed public health messages and to take action to eliminate mosquito breeding places around their homes. (GIS)
