Following several weeks’ assessment, ten finalists in the Barbados’ Best Employers Awards have been announced and have entered the fourth round of the inaugural competition.
Hensley Sobers, a member of the review panel, told the MIDWEEK NATIOn the panel was currently assessing the best practices of each company in an effort to determine the winners.
He said the process has gone “very well” so far and had benefited from a high participation rate among companies.
Sobers said the panel was “fascinated by the level of interest shown by employers”.
Banking and finance companies, which accounted for 30 per cent of the applicants, also dominated the final ten, which included Scotiabank, Royal Bank of Canada, Cidel Bank & Trust, Globe Finance, Summit Bank & Trust, and Caribbean Money Market Brokers (Barbados) Ltd.
