22 for Senior Games in Utah next month

TWENTY-TWO senior athletes, who are advocates of the Ministry of Social Care’s policy of “active ageing”, will display their prowess next month at the Huntsman World Senior Games in Utah, United States.
The team comprises seven female and 14 male athletes, all of whom participated in the 2010 National Senior Games.
They will compete in track and field, table tennis, archery and basketball. The athletes will leave the island on Thursday.
The team:
Track and field: Atherley Burrowes, Henderson Waltress, Arthur Lewis, Norian Jones, John Brooks, Jennifer Swanston-Jones, Wendy Barrow-Smith, Pearl Yearwood, Ainsley Lovell, Shirley Harper, Janita Austin.
Basketball: Lionel Rudder, Richard Clarke, David Haynes, Anthony Layne (coach/player), Stephen Sayers (manager/player).
Archery: Jancos Pfendtner, Pedro Thomas.
Table tennis: Carlton Sealy, Christopher Springer, Christopher Banfield, Wilmont Goddard.
