The task of saving planet earth was shown to transcend colour, race and religion most poignantly by this group from the Alfalah Muslim School.
They were among hundreds of Barbadians and many regional students who assisted in the clean up of Long Beach, Christ Church, yesterday morning.
The group, comprising mainly women dressed in their full Abaya Muslim garb, joined with some of the more liberally clad volunteers to help reduce the litter from the beach and its environs. The group was accompanied by a few children and a mature male adult.
