KINGSTON, Jamaica – Prime Minister Bruce Golding has endorsed a call by churches in Jamaica for a national day of repentance, renewal and healing today.
In a message to mark the occasion, Golding said “much of what is wrong in the society is of our own making and own transgression.
Two weeks ago, several religious leaders gathered across the island to repent and pray in preparation for a massive all-day prayer session planned for today.
The pastors – who represent the six umbrella church groups in the island – met as part of their recently launched Rebirthing Jamaica Programme. (CMC)
