A broad area of disturbed weather associated with an approaching low level trough and a tropical wave is presently affecting the Eastern Caribbean. As a result, some cloudiness and scattered showers have been spreading across Barbados during the day.
Analysis suggest that the unsettled conditions will continue to affect the island during the night, with the likelihood of some pockets of moderate to heavy showers, periods of rain, scattered thunderstorms and occasional gusty winds.
Hence, residents in low lying areas should exercise caution and remain on the alert.
Scattered thunderstorms, gusty winds expected tonight
