Barbados is under a flood watch until 6 this evening.
The Met Office is reporting that based on satellite and radar images, the unsettled weather conditions which have been affecting Barbados over the past few days will continue for another 18 to 24 hours.
As a result there will be some pockets of moderate to heavy showers, isolated thunderstorms and occasional gusty winds across the island during the day.
The Met Office is also reporting that the flood watch may be upgraded to a warning depending on conditions.
Residents in flood prone areas are cautioned to take the necessary precautions. (CM)
