Trouble tree

A huge branch from a big, old tamarind tree fell across the road at Bridge Gap, St Michael, during the torrential rainfall on Friday, making that road completely impassable.
However by yesterday morning a team from the tree trimming section  of the Ministry of Transport and Works was cutting away remaining branches of the tree and clearing the road. It took several hours.
Residents said they heard a loud crash which turned out to be the crashing into the road of the huge overhanging branch.
No one was injured.
