Barbados and Dominica at the top

After four days of dominoes action the Barbados team, with some solid plays from all members, are tied in first place with the returning champions Dominica.
Each have won four times, so when they meet today, it will be for the overall title.
Barbados started its journey with an easy 102-38 win over arch-rivals, then took care of Antigua 75-56, before blasting Canada off the boards in a 176-6 demolition. So outplayed were the Canadians, they forfeited what points were remaining after falling behind 6-51.
There was no stopping the Bajans then, as their momentum was maintained in an 83-53 win over St Lucia, with Ricardo Harewood and Grantley Nicholls scoring 23 points. The pairs of Andrew Powers and Delislie Parris, and Shurland Bovell and Adrian Hinds aided the effort with 15-point performances.
Amazingly, defending champions St Lucia are yet to win a match in this year’s four-hand tournament. (PR)
