Work stoppage at Immigration

Monday, Oct. 11 – STAFF at the Immigration Department, Wharf Road are withholding their services because a panel of glass which was broken by an irate customer last Saturday is yet to be fixed.
Workers have said that they would not be assuming duties and reports are that the chief immigration officer has taken up their duties.
Officials of the National Union of Public Workers are currently at the Immigration Department discussing the matter.
