No more women to the Force?

Date:

Share post:

I HAVE BEEN TOLD by members of the Royal Barbados Police Force that there has been an unofficial policy for the last few years of not recruiting female officers, because “they take time off to have children”.

I know of at least three women who have applied and were not even called for an interview.

Some official answers addressing my concerns would be very helpful.

I refuse to believe that in 2010 there could be this type of discrimination in the Police Force against women.
