CONSUMERS GUARANTEE Insurance is asking Barbadians “Who will you kill today?” as part of a road safety campaign.
Marketing manager Ann Harding said the company was taking a hard line with the campaign as there were too many road deaths in Barbados.
“Our approach is deliberately strong as our objective is to [increase] awareness among road users on how one bad decision can lead to fatal consequences.
“You can fix a car but you can’t bring back a life,” she told the DAILY NATION via telephone yesterday.
One aspect of the campaign is the placing of white, unmarked crosses at locations in Barbados where there have been fatal accidents: Spring Garden, St Michael; Lears, St Michael; Salters, St George; and Alleynedale, St Peter. (CA)
