Dozens of young Barbadian students exploring job prospects were given huge pointers at a careers showcase held under the auspices of the Barbados International Business Association (BIBA).
Consultant in international business, Janice Burke, deemed the showcase, held on the grounds of the University of the West Indies yesterday afternoon, a success, noting that it had served its purpose of allowing future young hopefuls to know of the opportunities in the international
business sector.
“I think it has been a huge learning exercise because a lot of students don’t know what career opportunities are available within international business and these different career paths help break it down for them.”
The showcase featured topics such as human resources, information technology, international business, investment and wealth management services, sales and marketing, reinsurance, legal and corporate services, tax and accounting and banking.
