Stuart told to forge own way

Former Prime Minister Sir Lloyd Erskine Sandiford has some advice for new Prime Minister Freundel Stuart.
The now ambassador to Beijing wants Stuart to shape the Government with his own particular brand.
“I know that he is able to shape the Government in such a way to achieve those unfinished objective that he supports,” Sir Lloyd told the WEEKEND?NATION at his office in China Tuesday.
Sir Lloyd is the former Member of Parliament for St Michael South, the seat currently held by Stuart.
He said that Stuart had the ability to help Barbados emerge from its economic troubles.
“I wish the new Prime Minister well . . .” Sir Lloyd stated.
Stuart was recently sworn in as Prime Minister following the death of former Prime Minister David Thompson on October 23. Thompson and his Democratic Labour Party was elected to office in January 2008 in a 20-10 victory over the Barbados Labour Party.
