The Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development has announced that there will be no school tomorrow and Wednesday.
According to Acting Chief Education Officer, Laurie King, there will be no school tomorrow as a result of the impact of the recent weather system.
The Ministry of Education has, however, advised that students attending tomorrow’s college fair, sponsored by Harrison College and the Barbados Community College, should go directly to the fair at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre.
All schools will be closed on Wednesday, as previously announced owing to the funeral of the late Prime Minister David Thompson. Schools’ representatives attending the funeral service are asked to collect tickets from the Ministry of Education, Elsie Payne Complex, Constitution Road, tomorrow.
Tickets will allow for one teacher, as well as the head boy and head girl of a school to attend the service. While there will be no school for students tomorrow, principals, members of the management team and ancilliary staff should, however, report for duty.
Schools will re-open on Thursday. (BGIS)
