Supermarkets were bursting at the seams yesterday, when doors re-opened after the passing of Tropical Storm Tomas on Saturday.
Many rushed to get supplies after several areas were left without electricity and water for extended periods in the aftermath of Tomas.
Trolleys could be seen filled with batteries, large bottles of water, flashlights and other necessities as shoppers waited patiently in long lines.
At Super Centre Warrens, the scene was no different. Customers shopping there also used the opportunity to purchase Sunday lunch, and the deli was packed with customers.
