Music mega star Rihanna attended the State Funeral of the late Prime Minister David Thompson which was held at Kensington Oval.
There was some doubt earlier as to whether she would be attending the funeral.
Rihanna had sent a short tribute on the passing of Thompson. He died on October 23 from pancreatic cancer.
She arrived at the Oval around 9:16 a.m. on Wednesday under the gaze of mourners who packed into the Oval.
The Grammy award winner was dressed in a large black hat, beige shirt, and black jacket with slacks. She was accompanied by a four-person security entourage and was met by loud applause to Barbadians lining the route.
