Farmers counting loses

MANY?FARMERS are among Barbadians who are still counting losses after Tropical Storm Tomas which caused havoc in the island last week Saturday.
Some say they have calculated thousands of dollars in damages to food crops while others were forced to burn hundreds of chickens as a result of Tomas’ strong winds and heavy rains. Chicken pen roofs were lifted off and acres of food crops flooded.
