Next Sunday, Barbados will remember its war veterans from various conflicts with the annual Remembrance Day Parade at National Heroes Square, the City.
Today, there was a grand rehearsal for the big event which will see armed detachments from the Barbados Defence Force, the Royal Barbados Police Force and the Barbados Cadet Corps along with veterans all participating. The ceremony will start at 8 a.m.
Governor General Sir Clifford Husbands, Prime Minister Freundel Stuart, will lay wreaths along with Leader of the Opposition Owen Arthur; BDF’s Chief of Staff Colonel Alvin Quintyne and Police Commissioner Darwin Dottin, as well as members of the diplomatic community and representatives from a number of organisations.
