Wharf Road to reopen

Date:

Share post:

The outer lane of Wharf Road to the junction of Parry Street (the road to the north of the Immigration Department) will reopen to traffic from Sunday, immediately following the National Independence Service in Independence Square.
Vehicles using Broad Street will revert to normal traffic flow.
Wharf Road was closed on November 2 because of  damage suffered during Tropical Storm Tomas.
The Ministry of Transport and Works, in consultation with the Royal Barbados Police Force, reversed the traffic flow on Broad Street, with vehicles travelling in an easterly to westerly direction from the junction of Shepherd Street and Heroes Square to the junction of Prince William Henry Street.
Motorists are urged to travel with caution on Wharf Road as reconstruction work on the road continues on the inner lane and on the section from the Immigration Department to Carlisle House.
