Blue! Yellow! Blue!

After much anticipation the City of Bridgetown has been set alight with Barbados’ National colours of blue and gold.
Under the theme Celebrating Our Heritage. . . Proud To Be A Bajan, the Lighting Ceremony took place earlier tonight in National Heroes Square as a crowd watched Minister of Family, Culture, Sports and Youth Stephen Lashley flip the switch to to illuminate many of the City’s building.
The Community Independence Celebrations Secretariat’s event is one of the activities on the cards each year to commemorate Barbados’ 44th anniversary of Independence.
