Horse falls to death in well

After one of his pet horses fell into a well and later died, Jamal Best wept openly.
Around 4 p.m. his six-year-old horse, Edgutec fell into an open well on an unoccupied piece of land which was once home to the Goodland Barbell Club gym, and was later pronounced dead by Wayne Norville, chief inspector of the Royal Society For The Prevention Of Cruelty To Animals (RSPCA).
Still in shock, Best, 17, of First Avenue, Goodland, St Michael, told THE NATION he was at his sister’s home when he received a call that the horse he had for only six months had fallen into a well.
“All I was doing was crying,” he said, trying to hold back tears. (MM)
