THIS YEAR, DIGICEL is giving out what the people have been asking for – lots of cash.
At the launch of their 2010 Christmas promotion in their Norman Centre branch in Broad Street, The City, on Wednesday, general manager Barry O’ Brien said the company had been giving out “a piece of the rock” over the past two years but this time around people said they wanted cash so that was exactly what they were going to get.
“For the next nine weeks, anyone who tops up their phone, pays their bill on time or buys a Digicel phone will be eligible to win part of more than $100 000 in cash and prizes,” he said.
O’Brien said there would be one main winner every week who will win some of the $100 000, as well as secondary winners. He said some of the other promotions Digicel was hosting were $50 cash back for the month of December, in addition to a total of $44 000 in free credit on Independence Day and special deals on both post and pre-paid phones.
He also said they would be a store promotion called “Santariffic Thursdays’, an in-store lucky dip each Thursday.
The launch featured various models displaying the offers on Broad Street, along with Digicel ambassadors Mikey, L’il Rick, RPB and Peter Coppin, as well as Sedia Jackman, the face of the promotion. (CA)
