Christmas shopping started with a bang yesterday as hundreds of shoppers headed into The City to take advantage of great bargains.
Almost all store owners said they were hoping for a great season as shoppers invaded their stores to make purchases or get a feel for what prices would be like this season.
Cave Shepherd & Co. was one such store bustling with customers. Its toy department was one of the most popular for children and parents selecting gifts.
