Princess Margaret dominate schools runners

Princess Margaret School swept the top three individual places in the 2010 Run Barbados 3K for school children over the weekend.
Spectators along Bay Street were amazed to see Shamar Maynard pounding the asphalt heading back to the finish line. He crossed the line in 10:37 minutes, twin brother Shamel was 11 seconds behind him and Dexter Mayers finished third in 11:19 second.
Shani Adams of Coleridge & Parry was the first school girl home in 11:50 seconds. Springer Memorial’s Jade Searles, winner of the Under-15 division at the schools’ cross country was second in 12.24, a hair’s breadth ahead of Adrielle Bynoe of Coleridge and Parry.
Harrison College won the boys’ section of the team challenge, while Springer Memorial were the girls champs. (SAT)
