Carolling Brownies

Over two dozen little Brownies brought Christmas cheer to the Thelma Vaughan Memorial Home yesterday.
The girls, who are members of the Trinity Academy Girl Guides, sang Christmas carols and presented gifts to the physically challenged young people at the home. The Brownies’ visit was part of their community service programme.
Guider Marcia Marshall said Christmas was a season of giving and the Girl Guides’ organisation wanted the Brownies to understand there were other young people with special needs and they, too, needed love.
“They are still to be loved because they, too, are God’s little precious gifts. The Brownies need to understand that children with special needs are equal to us, but unique in their own way,” she said.
The group started their singing session with the carol The Twelve Days Of Christmas and ended with We Wish You A Merry Christmas. (MM)
