The Seventh Day Adventist Church is seeking to make its young members employable as well as build and expand their small businesses, as it embarks on a new programme E-Commerce (Employable Commerce).
“We have to come up with creative ideas and help them to think creatively,” said youth director of the East Caribbean Conference of the church, Pastor Dale Haynes.
The churches’ youth convention titled We Are Giant Conquerors was held today at the Garfield Sobers Gymnasium.
Haynes said the church was mindful and paying close attention to the economic climate in which its young people were forced to seek employment.
“It is a struggle but we help them look at being conquerors,” he said. (AH)
