What postal worker Rhonda Philips was expecting to be her usual run from the Worthing Post Office to the Dover area in Christ Church this morning, turned into a surprise when the Gilkes family sent out their nurse Bertha Giles to give Philips a gift and a card for the sterling work which she had done during the year.
While Philips saw service as all part of her work, she was very touched in accepting the gesture from the Gilkes. (KB)
