Hundreds of Barbadians kept up the tradition of heading to Queen’s Park this morning for Christmas in the Park.
With a packed programme featuring the Royal Police Band playing some of the familiar Christmas carols, and other local artistes, activities in the Park didn’t get really get started until just after 8 a.m. an hour after the scheduled start.
The Nation’s Gercine Carter was in the Park and reports that once again, it was the men who came out “dressed to kill” in all the latest fashions, complete with hats.
It was a sterling rendition of You’re All I Want for Christmas sang by Superintendent Keith Ellis of the police band that got the crowds calling for more.(CM)
