Police are now investigating an incident where a 31-year-old female resident of Danesbury, Black Rock, St Michael was reportedly beaten by a male on Tuesday night.
Police public relations officer Inspector David Welch said the female was pregnant at the time.
“She sought refuge at a friend’s house at Danesbury, Black Rock, where she miscarried and passed out a 16-week-old foetus,” he said.
Welch said the alleged incident occurred around 9:30 p.m at Boyce Road, Black Rock, St Michael.
The Inspector said they will be continuing their investigations into the incident.
