Democratic Labour Party candidate for St John, Mara Thompson, continued her campaign yesterday as she spoke to people in Sherbourne.
Going from house to house, Thompson received a warm welcome and was invited in to have some refreshments by Jennifer Nurse and her mother Inez Barnett, who had prepared for Thompson’s arrival beforehand.
Along with parliamentarians Christopher Sinckler; campaign manager John Boyce; Prime Minister Freundel Stuart; members of both the St John and St Michael South branches and a special group of parliamentarian spouses, Thompson spoke to the media afterward about the warm reception she continued to receive in St John.
