“Veteran” competitor Glenville Lovell’s play “On De Block” and newcomer Allison Cadogan’s novella “Three Little Pigs” shared the $14 000 second prize at the Frank Collymore Literary Endowment’s  awards.
But there was no first prize this time around during the 13th annual awards ceremony held Saturday evening in the Frank Collymore Hall last night.
The winning works were among 35 entries submitted last year for Barbados’ top creative writing contest.
United States-based Barbadian writer Austin Yearwood, no stranger to the competition, took the $3 000 third prize with his novel “Imelda”.
Yearwood also won the Prime Minister’s Award with “Imelda” and Delvin Howell took the $1 000 John Wickham Award with the novel “Offset”.
