MINISTER OF HOME AFFARIS Adriel Brathwaite wants the National Council on Substance Abuse (NCSA) to work more closely with alcohol distributors.
He was speaking during the NCSA’s Drug Awareness Month church service at the Salvation Army, Reed Street, The City.
“I challenge the NCSA to continue its work in schools and also to work with alcohol wholesalers and retailers. Embrace them as you need to work with them to make sure they spread the message [against substance abuse],” he said.
Brathwaite said advertising campaigns such as scotch whiskey brand Johnnie Walker’s “drink responsibly” was a good example of how an alcohol distributor could spread the word against substance abuse. (CA)
