Griffith’s vision

Hudson Griffith, the Barbados Labour Party candidate for St John, says he has a vision for that parish.
And his plan includes the provision of a senior citizen’s home, as well as recreational facilities.
Speaking last night at a meeting in College Bottom, Griffith noted that while Gall Hill was recognized to be the mecca of that parish, he was prepared to place a playing field in Sherbourne and Wakefield. He said this was his plan after many talks with residents in these areas.
He also proposed that Four Roads be upgraded to a commercial facility, adding that a small industrial area there would also help create employment.
Griffith said this country needed money to survive but charged that this Government was “impotent and sterile”.
“How can you push social programmes if you don’t have money,” he told those gathered.
“I want to turn St John into a place of employment,” he said, to applause and cheers.
“I want the people of St John to feel good about themselves. I am here to represent you. Hudson Griffith isn’t going anywhere,” he pledged.
He added: “A vote for Hudson Griffith is a vote for truth, a vote for representation and a vote for bringing hope. Give me two years and I will earn five,” he said.
