The Barbados Association of Medical Practitioners (BAMP) has deplored the negative impact the suspension of Dr Richard Ishamel has had on the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
In a Press release yesterday from public relations officer Dr Ermine Belle, BAMP revealed that to date they had not even received any response to their communication sent the QEH.
“Not even an acknowledgement of receipt of said communication,” the release pointed out.
BAMP also noted that the negative impact of the suspension had also reflected on the “medical profession in general, Dr Ishamel in particular, and the patient population”.
The association stated that the Trade Union and Staff Association would continue to monitor the developments, noting that BAMP was initially informed of the events through a copy of communication from Ishmael.
