Kim?Tudor of NISE shows off her stellar fashion sense.
How would you define your personal style?
Overall, my style is glamorous but elegant. From a black business suit to a fuchsia cocktail dress, I like to look fabulous. Whether business or pleasure, colour is an essential part of my style.
Do you find that you follow fashion trends or do you play by your own rules?
I pay attention to fashion trends and will incorporate  aspects. However, I pretty much set  my own style. I’m willing to take risks as fashion evolves.
Has your fashion sense changed over the years or has it remained the same?
I’ve always been stylish and liked fashion but as I’ve grown, my sense of style has become more refined.
Are there any colours that you tend to shy away from and if so, why?
I don’t wear pastels, because they’re not glamorous.
As a child, were you always into clothes or did you grow into your own fashion sense?
I used to love to go to church and dress up and I had a hat to match every outfit.
How does your day-to-day life factor into your wardrobe choices?
As I have a busy lifestyle, I like clothing that is easy to wear but I always add my own flair to every piece.
Are there any designers that you like to wear or whose clothing stands out with you?
I think that local designers understand the Caribbean woman’s body and sense of colour. I do have quite a few pieces from Pat Brathwaite and Ivona Designs. The international designers that you can find in my wardrobe are Valentino and Versace.
What three to five things should every woman have in her closet?
1. High heels.
2. A couple of stunning accessories.
3. A well-fitted outfit, whether a suit, dress or a pair of jeans – something that makes you feel wonderful.
4. Once you are over 40, good foundation garments are a must – even lace.
5. Something that sparkles.
