It was supposed to be a Twenty20, but the rain reduced it to a Six6.
In the end, Jamaica mauled English county Somerset in their Caribbean Twenty20 match at Kensington Oval that was delayed by three hours yesterday.
With Marlon Samuels in full flow, Jamaica smashed 85 for one but Somerset lost wickets like ninepins in going after the target, and finished on 24 for eight.
Samuels made sure patrons got full value for money when the match started at 7:02 p.m by smashing a stroke-filled 45 off only 21 balls that allowed Jamaica to gallop at more than 14 runs an over.
Somerset hardly raised a response and handed Jamaica victory by 61 runs.
Here, Samuels bangs a ball through the offside.
