Athletes from across the sports spectrum learned some important tips and techniques to help them improve their performances at the McEnearney Quality Inc./CW Foundation Health Fair and Workshop earlier today.
Organised by national shot put record holder Charles Walcott of the CW Foundation, athletes were taken through visualisation and mental preparation techniques by clinical psychologist Beverley Drakes.
In her interactive session, Drakes taught athletes how to breathe properly to enable relaxation, how to prepare for competition and to block out the distractions they face from other competitors and spectators.
Dr. Colin Alert also spoke to the athletes about proper hydration. (SAT)
