THE?Urban Development Commission (UDC)?is providing a road for a group of residents at Scotts Terrace, Grazettes, St Michael, who found themselves walking on shaky ground after a resident erected a guard wall around her land.
This newspaper last year highlighted the plight of residents of five households who were forced to use a grassy track after the road which they were accustomed to using was reclaimed by the landowner.
Late last year the UDC came to their rescue and began constructing a road outside their homes.
Resident Barbara Babb, who is a diabetic, said she was grateful for the road. She added that she had found it very challenging walking along the rocky terrain.
An official of the UDC said the road should be completed in a month’s time.
