A FORMER lawmaker in St Michael, was recently run out of town in a rural constituency.
Word on the ground is that this two-time success story has been canvassing all across a certain eastern riding in the hope of marshalling the troops for a coup d’etat.
However, he apparently chose the wrong shop and was told in no uncertain terms that he should return to his old stomping ground.
Eyewitnesses reported that the reception was so hostile and this politico became so afraid that he ran past his means of transport to get away from the onslaught.
True, true, true.
On the back seat
Oh how the mighty have fallen, or so it may seem.
Can you imagine that just months after a king had fallen, one of his knights was being relegated to the second row at a major event on the January calendar.
Information reaching Cou Cou indicates this former member of the inner circle was escorted to a front row seat at this awards ceremony, only to be told that this would not be the case on this night.
By George, this son of the soil may not be well liked, but DLPites are urging its brothers and sisters to have a heart.
The right mix?
She may buy cement, but can she mix it?
That’s the question being asked in a certain central riding where a man working up north is said to be the favourite to fight the good fight against the beauty with brains and a stethoscope.
Sources report that the hometown newcomer is ready to engineer a victory. That is left to be seen since the last campaigner was unable to win the hearts of this loving community.
Battle lines
At least ten noble men have put up their names for the vote, but from all reports, a certain contender aims to put all of his challengers to bed.
The showdown will take place in the south where a certain BLPite has for the past two seasons been bringing home several wheelbarrows full of votes.
Most Dems are however convinced that the frontrunner will have to get a tan or a different name if he is really to be considered a serious competitior.
The big shake-up
A certain big-up will apparently not be making any sport this year.
Known as a no-nonsense politico, sources have told Cou Cou that only the captain and vice-captain will retain their places when the new manager names his team.
Everybody else better run for cover.
No room for error
He may be headed for a fall, but a certain big-up is making sure he dots all of his i’s and t’s before the much talked about shift.
In other words, he will go down with his guns blazing.
Time will tell
Who will it be in a certain St Michael riding?
Those close to the ground indicate that it will be a case of “like father like son”, but our information is that there are others courting a certain bright Black Rock youngster to carry the Bees’ flag in an attempt to sink the Dems ship.
Who will the big daddy support?
Only time will tell.
