A major high-rise urban housing project planned by Government will see approximately 400 apartments being constructed at Mason Hall Street, The City, Valarie, Brittons Hill, the “Grotto”, Beckles Road, and at Exmouth, St Michael.
The initiative, the first of its kind in Barbados, is scheduled to start early next month.
Minister of Housing and Lands Michael Lashley told the DAILY NATION today that the apartments would go six to seven stories and would include some commercial areas for barbers, tailors and small shop proprietors. (WG)
