THE?talk around a popular shop on the outskirts of The City surrounds a man who has been sneaking around with the pretty brown-skinned girl who works inside the shop.
He seems to think that no one, including his drinking buddies, know that he is dealing with this woman. But everybody knows that he picks her up in his white car next to the church after the shop closes, and that he also brings some of his wife’s home-cooked meals for her in a bowl.
His friends are shocked that he has fallen head over heels in love with this non-national woman because he was always saying that he does not like people of her nationality.They want to know what will happen if either his wife or his next outside woman, who he has had for several years, finds out.
Staff insulted by gifts
A large employer recently held a staff appreciation and awards ceremony at which staff received items such as biscuits, juice and milk as their gifts. Staff were very put out that a company which generates significant millions annually would not be able to reward them with better gifts of appreciation.
In one instance, a manager who was being awarded as “Most Outstanding . . .” was given two tins of biscuits, and in other cases people received vouchers to redeem at a manufacturing company.
But angry staff want to know why the dinner event was hosted at such an upscale establishment when all they were going to be given were biscuits and milk.
To add insult to injury, everyone who attended also received gift bags that included a key chain, snow globe and a mug.
Seems like a witch hunt
A?city council meeting which was recently held at a popular church came to an abrupt end when three female members verbally exploded and attacked the secretary.
Those in attendance were shocked and wanted to know if the deputy chair, who is known for her hideous hair pieces; the treasurer, who brings controversy to every meeting and who is so garished that people are questioning her gender; and the programme officer, whose performance is being questioned, were on a witch hunt.
While the council members sat in shock, the person who was supposed to be in charge, and who delights in making the sign of the cross, seemed to have no religious ammunition to control the demonic forces.
Now people are asking why these hostile members were put on the council in the first place. Everyone is waiting to see what type of bad spirits they will bring to the next meeting. Or if they will be sent away on their brooms.
Interesting offspring
A woman who is employed at a certain institution that looks after the welfare of children seems to have instilled nothing but negative qualities in her two offspring.
Her daughter was busy hunting down a teacher to get her qualification and tried to trap him by getting pregnant, but she ended up seeking medical attention after finding out that she was not his main squeeze.
And to make matters worst, the teacher has told her to find another father for her child because he already has two children. Three years have passed already and she is yet to get over that incident. No wonder she feels that her child is a storm waiting to blow over.
The son, a licensed tradesman, found himself on the unemployment list when he cussed out his bosses five years ago and threw away all of his years of service at the business place.No wonder that up to this day he can’t find a job. He was down and out eating only Ramen for lunch, until a poor victim found him on the wayside, fattened him up and allowed him to stay at her house, where he hid all day from the marshals because he had not paid child support.
But now this ungrateful slob has bitten off the hand that fed him by crying wolf and getting his long lost mother and sister to help him in his devious plans.
